Use your birthday party to support future scientists and be a Science Whizz!
By choosing to receive Deadly Science Books, you will support the Deadly Science Charity - who provide science, technology, engineering & maths education & resources for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander learners in Australia.
DeadlyScience started after Corey Tutt found out that remote schools were often critically under-resourced. Through their work they:
Provide STEM resources (books, telescopes, science kits, coding tools, etc.) to remote and regional Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities.
Send culturally relevant materials, including books written by Indigenous authors and showcasing Indigenous science knowledge.
Deliver hands-on learning experiences through workshops, experiments, and educational programs.
Support teachers in remote areas by providing curriculum-aligned STEM content and guidance.
Celebrate Australia’s First Scientists, recognising the deep scientific knowledge in Indigenous culture (like astronomy, land management, bush medicine).
Connect students with role models — Indigenous scientists and professionals — to inspire future careers in STEM.
The DeadlyScience Book Series is a fantastic collection of children’s books that celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander science, culture, and role models — while making STEM fun, accessible, and culturally relevant for young readers.
This series of non-fiction picture books created by Corey Tutt, are designed for primary school-aged children. Each book focuses on a different First Nations role model or a theme that connects science with culture, like bush medicine, astronomy, or engineering. Written in easy-to-understand language and filled with bright illustrations, they making complex topics feel exciting and achievable.
